Exchange Rate Index
Swiss Exchange Rate Index
The nominal export-weighted exchange rate index of the Swiss franc is used to measure the external value of the franc against the currencies of Switzerland's major trading partners. A rising index value indicates that the Swiss franc has appreciated (expressed in foreign currency units). A falling index value signifies that the Swiss franc has depreciated.
