Average Earnings Index (Change)
UK Average Earnings Index (Change)
Based on a reference year with an index value of 100, the Average Earnings Index provides feedback from approximately 8,500 employers which is used to measure changes in gross earnings on a per person basis. Each surveyed employer forwards total payroll amounts to the National Statistics agency to calculate and publish the results.
