Deposit Funds with OANDA

Credit card 10,000 units of currency (or 1,000,000 JPY) per calendar month. Immediate. Your credit card issuer may apply charges, typically up to 3%, on credit card deposits or withdrawals, including international processing fees. Credit card transactions may be processed in a foreign country. Please check with your credit card issuer to determine if charges apply.  
Bank wire transfer No limit. 1-3 business days for domestic wire transfers (in USD).
Up to 5 business days for international wire transfers.
Your bank may charge a service fee. Intermediary banks may also deduct fees from the amount, resulting in a smaller incoming amount than you sent. Complete, custom wire instructions are provided when you sign in to My Funds and complete all the deposit-related steps. Please note that the instructions vary by currency. PayPal
(USD accounts only)
No limit for Verified PayPal accounts.
Up to $100 USD in total from Unverified PayPal accounts.
Up to 1 business day. eCheques will take 1 business day after being cleared by PayPal. A service fee of $0.15 plus a percentage (1.8% for U.S. accounts, 2.8% for non-US accounts) of the total amount transferred is deducted from your margin deposit for each transfer.
For eCheck payments the service charge is capped at $300.
Your PayPal name and/or email address must match your OANDA account records. (For entity accounts, both name and email must match.)
Include your fxTrade username and account number in the Special Instructions of your PayPal payment.
Checks
(USD accounts only)
No limit. Up to 7 business days upon receipt (includes time for the check to clear). No fees. Checks must be drawn from a U.S. bank and be in USD. (Avoid NSF checks).

Notes:

  • OANDA cannot accept payments from third parties. Please ensure that the name(s) on the originating account match those on your OANDA account. If you want to receive funds from a third party you need to set up a joint account with that party.
  • For your security, you can only withdraw funds by the same method you used to deposit them into your OANDA account. 
  • PayPal accounts based in certain countries can only be used to send funds. Please do not use PayPal for deposits if you cannot receive funds on your PayPal account.
