HLC (High-Low-Close)

HLC bar charts depict currency pair information with a vertical bar and a horizontal bar extending from it.

  1. The vertical bar represents the high and low points of the prices during the period.
    1. The highest point of the vertical bar represents the average of the highest bid and ask rate reached during the period.
    2. The lowest point of the vertical bar represents the average of the lowest bid and ask rate reached during the period.
  2. The horizontal bar represents the closing mid-price for the period, i.e. the sum of the bid and the ask rate divided by two.

Placing your mouse on top of a HLC bar brings up a “Graph Information Box” which lists the Close, High and Low exchange rates.
