(For clients of investment managers using fxTrade Client Manager Practice accounts)
How do I get started?
All of the following steps must be completed before you can allocate funds to your investment manager.
1. Accept your manager's invitation to join fxTrade Client Manager.
Your investment manager will send an email inviting you to join fxTrade Client Manager:- Click on the URL provided in your manager's email, or copy and paste the URL into your Web browser.
- Follow the instructions to register for and log in to fxTrade Client Manager.
- You should be able to see your managed account listed in the fxTrade Client Manager interface.
2. Activate your fxTrade Practice account.
As part of the fxTrade Client Manager registration process, you are asked to create an fxTrade Practice account (if you don't have one already).- You will be sent an email to activate your fxTrade Practice account. Click on the URL provided in the email, or copy and paste the URL into your Web browser.
- Follow the instructions to set up and activate your account.
Note: Your fxTrade Practice account will contain funds.
How do I allocate my funds?
- Log in to fxManager.
- Select Account > Add/Remove Unallocated Funds.
- Specify the fund amount you want to add to the account (use a positive number).
This will typically be the amount you want to allocate to your investment manager. - Click Submit.
The specified funds are deducted from your fxTrade Practice account and added to the "MA Unalloc bal" account in your fxManager account.
Next, you need to allocate the funds. - Select Account > Allocate Funds.
(If you have more than one source account, make sure you select the right one.) - Specify the fund amount you want to allocate to your investment manager.
Note: You can also use this window to de-allocate funds, but only if your Manager has not yet invested those funds. Otherwise, your Manager will need to approve the de-allocation request.
Tip: If you don’t see fund allocations or other changes you’ve made, try disconnecting and reconnecting. Click on the Connected icon in the lower left corner, then click on it again.
How do I see what's happening to my funds?
The tables in the lower panel of the fxTrade Client Manager window let you track what's happening to your allocated funds, including:
Allocations — money you've allocated to the fund
Open Positions — currently open positions
Transactions — a list of all transactions that have occurred in your account (buys, sells, fees, and so on)
Fees — a list of all the fees that have been charged
Activity — a list of actions made by you and your investment manager to your account (fees, fund allocations, and so on)

How do I get my funds back to my fxTrade Practice account?
- Log on to fxTrade Client Manager for fxTrade Practice.
- In the fxManager window, select Account > Add/Remove Unallocated Funds.
- Specify the fund amount you want back (use a negative number).
- Click Submit.
The funds are de-allocated immediately if your Manager has not yet accepted those funds. Otherwise, your Manager needs to approve the de-allocation request before the funds are returned.
The specified funds are deducted from your fxTrade Practice account and added to the "MA Unalloc bal" account in your fxManager for fxTrade Practice account.
