The fxTrade for BlackBerry application can be downloaded directly from your BlackBerry device using this link.
Is fxTrade for BlackBerry compatible with all models of BlackBerry?
Currently, fxTrade for BlackBerry is only compatible with 9000, 9650, and 9700 model devices running BlackBerry OS 4.6 to 5.0.
How do I know which version I am using?
The version you are using will be displayed at the top left hand corner of the login screen.
Is fxTrade for BlackBerry free?
The fxTrade for BlackBerry application is free to fxTrade and fxTrade Practice users. However, the mobile application requires an internet connection, so when you run the application be aware that you may incur additional data use and roaming charges from your mobile service provider.
I already have a trading account with OANDA. Do I need a separate account for my mobile device?
No separate account is required – the log in credentials you use to access the platform on the web are the same credentials you use to log in to fxTrade for BlackBerry.
Can I switch between my trading accounts?
Yes. When you log in, the application will log you in to your primary account by default. When you are logged in, press the BlackBerry menu key and choose Accounts to view all your accounts. Press the BlackBerry menu key, select Account Details and choose Activate.
Can I switch between my demo and live accounts on the same device?
If you have an fxTrade Practice account but want to log into your fxTrade account, log out of the fxTrade Practice account first and then log into your fxTrade account. The End call (red button) will not log you out of your account. When you want to log into another account, please check the top left hand corder of the Rates screen to check if your account number has in fact changed.
Can I use both fxTrade and fxTrade Practice accounts at the same time?
No. If you wish to use your fxTrade Practice account, you must sign off from your fxTrade account and then enter your fxTrade Practice user name and password to log in to that account.
Are the rate settings that I configure on the mobile platform replicated in the fxTrade web platform?
No. Your preference quote lists are stored on the mobile device and not synchronized to the web platform. Likewise, the preferences made on the mobile device are not stored on the web platform.
What happens if I lose connection when I'm in the middle of placing a trade?
If you do not receive a confirmation screen, your trade probably did not execute. Press the BlackBerry key, select Trades to verify your trades. Mobile internet connections may not be available due to circumstances beyond our control, such as outages on your mobile network or bad connections in regions with poor mobile coverage.
Are live charts available on fxTrade for BlackBerry?
Yes, live charts are accessible from the Candlestick or Min/Max graphs. Press the BlackBerry menu key, select Charts and choose Min/Max or Candlestick.
What kind of time period granularity is available?
You may choose time period granularity from 5 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour or 1 day. This changes the range of times shown on the graphs.
Which currency pairs appear on the default quote list?
The default quote list includes the following currency pairs: AUD/JPY, AUD/USD, EUR/CHF, EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY, EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and XAU/USD.
How can I add more currency pairs to the quote list?
Press the BlackBerry menu key and choose Edit Rates. Press the trackball to customize the list of currency pairs. The currency pairs are sorted alphabetically.
Where can I see the full list of currency pairs available?
Press the BlackBerry menu key and choose Edit Rates.
What types of orders are supported?
You can place Buy and Sell Limit Orders, Take Profits, Stop Losses, Trailing Stops, and Lower and Upper Bounds.
Press the BlackBerry menu key and choose Orders to specify the details foryour trade.
Yes. Press the BlackBerry menu key and choose Orders. Press the BlackBerry menu key again, select View Details and use the trackball to select the type of order you want to modify.
Can I review my account's trading activity?
Yes. Press the BlackBerry menu key, select Accounts and the account you wish to review. From the Accounts menu, press the BlackBerry menu key and choose Account Details.
Are indicators and trendlines available?
Indicators and trendlines are currently unavailable on fxTrade for BlackBerry.
What type of modifications are supported?
Yes. Press the BlackBerry menu key and choose Orders. Press the BlackBerry menu key again, select View Details and use the trackball to select the type of order you want to modify.
No, zooming in on the charts is currently unavailable on fxTrade for BlackBerry. As an alternative, change the time granularity period to smaller intervals to see specific price feeds.
Press the BlackBerry menu key and select Log out.
Where can I find release notes?
Release notes are currently unavailable for fxTrade for BlackBerry. Contact the Customer Service department for information on new updates.

Is an account summary available?
Yes. You can access your Balance, Realized P&L, Unrealized P&L, Margin Used, Margin Available and Net Asset Value on your BlackBerry device. To access the account summary, press the BlackBerry menu key, select Accounts and the account you wish to review.
How do I clear my user name and password?
Go to the main login screen and unclick “Save”. The next time you log in, your credentials will not be displayed.
