Pipette prices are now shown on FXGame but can't be hidden. The option to not "Show Pipettes" nolonger appears in Tools - User Prefs. "Misc" tab. FXTrade is ok.

Price Pipette bug on FXGame

Hi Glider, dcfxq, and JonBlackhawk,

This feature has been removed. It was the source of many support calls and questions. Hiding pipettes caused several of the values displayed in the fxTrade account summary and tables to not appear correct.

For example, when pipettes are hidden price x units may not equal the trade value (because part of the price is hidden).

Prior to removing this feature we investigated how many users had it enabled. It was a very small number.

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused,

Sabrina

Hello Sabrina, thanks for your reply. While I regret not being able to hide the Pipettes, I understand your reasons.

What a mess!

Typical Oanda solution: because they encounter an inconvenient problem (support calls), they just remove a feature ... never mind how it affects the other customers. [Mad]

It all depends on your strategy.

Hi kmi, Glider and guw,

I apologize that you are not happy with our decision. If you can explain how and why you use the hide pipette feature I can forward it to the development team for consideration.

We may be able to reach a solution that meets both our needs.

Sabrina

Wow, that's friggin' annoying having to look at pipettes! It makes it difficult to read prices at a glance and frankly just isn't necessary. Great way to spend your time Oanda development team...taking away options that your customers want. Brilliant! Could be worse though. On the iphone app some prices that have only two digits after the decimal point like aud/jpy show five on certain pages. Yeah, like it's really necessary to see a price down to the 1/1,000th of a pip. Ridiculous.

Just because you've made up your mind about something doesn't mean you should stop listening.
